Banco Santander México today closed the sale of all its payment contracts in businesses (physical and online) to Getnet México, owned by Grupo Santander, which consolidates Getnet as the best vehicle to offer these payment services to businesses and companies, and thus promoting financial inclusion and reducing the use of cash. This is one more step in the commitment to the acquiring business of Santander México after the acquisition of Elavon México last year. Currently, 49% of Getnet México is owned by the bank, and 51% is owned by PagoNxt Merchant Solutions, a global franchise of Grupo Santander that consolidates all acquiring businesses under the Getnet brand.
