Husqvarna has a new electric two-wheeler in the works, which has just been unveiled as the Husqvarna Vektorr electric scooter concept. The presentation of this new concept came shortly after important news from the company was announced.
The Swedish-founded company is now owned by Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM. At the end of last month the new Husqvarna E-Pilen electric motorcycle concept presented by the company was also announced.

Husqvarna has revealed in its statement that the Vektorr Concept is the first electric scooter ever produced by Husqvarna Motorcycles. The creation of this model is especially aimed at the urban traveler who requires a personal transportation solution that is effective, compact and of course elegant, that is, one that can adapt to a busy lifestyle.
Studies have indicated that more than half of young riders are considering switching to electric, and recent concepts from Husqvarna have shown that the company is positioning itself to welcome those riders with interesting and modern designs.
While the E-Pilen electric motorcycle is likely to offer more excitement, Husky's scooter concept here will certainly fill a more utility-focused role. But the company still managed to avoid the typical common Vespa design with this level of scooter performance.
In fact, the Vektorr was apparently developed in conjunction with Indian company Bajaj, which produces its own Vespa-style electric scooter known as the Bajaj Chetak. In addition to the Vektorr concept, Husqvarna also showed off a new electric stand-up scooter concept.
It's a move that more companies have adopted in a bid to expand their market share in multiple forms of alternative urban transportation.
Ducati, for example, has also expanded into electric scooter partnerships, although other companies haven't fared either. Electric skateboard maker Boosted filed for bankruptcy and shut down operations shortly after developing its own electric stand-up skateboard in a bid to expand its market reach.
